Riaz Chauthani

Riaz Chauthani started working with his father (Abdul Chauthani) in 1979.  They started with one store and by the time Riaz was 16 they had 9 stores.  Riaz assisted his father is managing all 9 stores plus deliveries.  In 1988 Riaz graduated from the University of Southern California and worked as Director of Leasing for one of the top developers in Los Angeles for 3 years.  In 1992 he opened his first store and from 1992 to 1996 he acquired an additional 6 stores in the Riverside trade area.  These stores were not associated with Abdul’s stores, and in 1996 he sold all the stores.  In 1997 he got married and had a child and acquired a dry cleaner in San Bernardino County.  He acquired and/or opened an additional 29 stores from 1997 to 2006 in three different trade areas (Inland Empire, Las Vegas and San Diego).  In 2007 he merged his company with U.S. Dry Cleaners the first public company consolidator of the dry cleaning industry.  He became the Director of Mergers and Acquisitions for the company and acquired and additional $21MM in revenues (50 stores) for the company and assisted in the operations of the largest owner operator of dry cleaners in the U.S (From February 2007 to March 2012).  

In 2013 he acquired Polo Cleaners in San Juan Capistrano and then later acquired Beasley’s Cleaners in Rancho Santa Margarita and rebranded it to Polo Cleaners.  Both stores offer home delivery and are growing annually.  The major reasons for our success lies in our team, and our ability to provide our customer the best quality, service and consistency in the trade area.  Riaz’s vast knowledge of the dry cleaning industry and his onsite day to day involvement has allowed his companies to flourish and he has built a management team that is the best in the trade area.

In addition to Polo Cleaners, Riaz acquired Rix Business Sales from Robin Rix 2016.  Focused on business brokerage exclusively for the dry cleaning industry.  Also focused on real estate transaction which include land acquisitions, property sale, leasing and development.
